About Valorix

Military precision, applied to bioscience.

Our Story

Valorix BioSolutions was founded in 2026 by Daniel Torgerson, a Service-Disabled Veteran with a deep commitment to service and scientific advancement.

Drawing from military experience and a keen interest in biotechnology, Daniel established Valorix to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world applications. The company was formed in Puerto Rico to leverage the island’s growing life sciences ecosystem while maintaining strong connections to federal research and contracting opportunities.

From the beginning, Valorix has focused on three interconnected areas: supporting government biomedical research needs, developing innovative technologies through non-dilutive funding programs, and creating science-backed wellness solutions.

Diagnostic & Detection Technologies

Approaches that support rapid, reliable detection — an area where speed and accuracy translate directly into mission outcomes.

Antibodies and microbial cells rendered at high magnification

Health Security & Biodefense

Technologies and solutions supporting detection, response, and protection related to public-health threats — enhancing preparedness and response capability.

Modern laboratory with molecular imaging displays

Molecular Imaging Platforms

Technologies enabling detailed visualization of biological processes at the molecular level — improved research capability with potential diagnostic applications.

These platforms represent our current focus areas. We continuously evaluate new opportunities where our expertise can create meaningful value, and we actively seek SBIR/STTR opportunities and collaborative research partnerships.

Programs in Development

Active research programs advancing toward collaboration and federal opportunity

01

Alpha-Gal Syndrome Functional Biomarker Program

Valorix is developing research-use functional biomarker approaches for alpha-gal syndrome and related tick-associated health conditions. This program focuses on stool-based and microbiome-linked functional readouts that may help researchers better understand disease-associated changes in gut biology, immune activation, and metabolic function. The program is currently in development and is intended for collaborative R&D, federal grant applications, and research partnerships. It is not currently offered as a diagnostic test.

02

Bioluminescent Antibody Uptake and Internalization Platform

Valorix is developing a bioluminescent reporter platform to support therapeutic antibody and antibody-drug conjugate research. The technology is designed to measure antibody binding, cellular internalization, intracellular processing, and functional payload delivery using a sensitive light-based readout. This approach may provide real-time kinetic data, improve antibody candidate selection, and reduce the cost and risk of early therapeutic development. The platform is intended for research use, preclinical assay development, and collaborative programs with academic, industry, and federal partners.
